No archaeological remains were discovered on the site, including relating to the the medieval church of Tartaraghan (ARM 5:5).

Post-medieval pottery recovered within the topsoil across the site included Black Ware, Red Glazed Earthen Ware and modern white ceramics. This is all consistent with a farm having been located on the site since the 1800’s.

It was clear from the test trenching that the site had been levelled, probably when the farm building in the south-east corner was built, possibly to form a garden. This flattened area has had a build-up of topsoil over time, which appears to have slipped downhill as the depth of the topsoil increases from 0.5m to 0.7m in this area.
