No archaeological material was uncovered during the course of the test trenching. Although the remains of a ploughed-out rath (ANT049:050) lay to the north there is no indication that there were any external features that lay within the area of the development. The presence of bedrock so close to the surface means that it is very unlikely that there would be any cut features within the southern part of the site. Given the number of stone-filled drains that crossed the northern area, if anything had been present then it would have been destroyed when theses drains were created.
