Testing/evaluation was undertaken on a site in the townland of Townparks, Ballycastle Co. Antrim between 3 and 11 November 2014.

Eight 2m-wide test trenches, totaling 400m² were excavated by a 360° mini digger. A total of 14 flint artefacts were recovered , 13 of which were identified in the topsoil from the test trenches and one of which was found in the sand subsoil during hand cleaning. The flint artefacts are mostly broken struck flints, though some were obviously tools and may date to the late Mesolithic/Neolithic. A number of linear features were also uncovered. One linear feature found at the south-eastern corner of the site in Trench 7 may be of archaeological potential.
