An archaeological impact assessment was requested prior to the construction of a dwelling house with associated works. The development lies across the road from the site of a ringfort (WM012-045) which had already been demolished by the 1970s. Eight trenches of differing lengths were excavated on the footprint of the house, percolation area and driveway.
No archaeological material was found in any of the eight trenches; no artefacts, other than one sherd of 19th-century pottery, were recovered. There was no evidence for any activity associated with the demolished ringfort. No archaeological material was observed during inspection of the percolation test pits.
