To enhance the view to Reginald’s Tower from the quay and river, a building erected in the 1970s was demolished and the foundations were removed under archaeological supervision. The foundations consisted of almost 0.8m of concrete and steel. This rested on a bed of industrially crushed stone. No further material was removed. No archaeological findings.
