An archaeological evaluation was undertaken prior to the proposed construction of a 3-turbine wind farm at Altamuskin, Sixmilecross, Omagh, Co. Tyrone.
Monitoring of all ground works was carried out for this evaluation. The works consisted of the widening of the existing concrete access road to the site adjacent to the Aghnagan Road and the construction of the sub-station to the north-east of the proposed location of T2. All works were conducted using a mechanical digger fitted with a toothless bucket.
No archaeological features were uncovered during the course of the evaluation.
