An archaeological evaluation was carried out prior to the proposed construction of two poultry sheds on lands approximately 300m south-west of 112 Loughmallon Road, Pomeroy, Co Tyrone.
A total of 4 parallel test trenches, orientated east-west were excavated using a back-acting machine fitted with a toothless bucket. The trenches were excavated along the length of the proposed poultry sheds for a distance of 80m, and were 2m wide.
No archaeological features were uncovered within the trenches.
