Testing was undertaken at the site of a proposed reservoir in Giantsgrave, Co. Tipperary. Test trenching took place on 12 December using a mechanical excavator, with a flat, toothless bucket. A total of eight trenches were mechanically investigated across the test area which measured c. 1.04ha. No features of archaeological significance were identified during the course of works.
