Monitoring of ground works was carried out at a development site at Gortalough, Ballinafad, Co. Sligo from 23-26 April 2013. The works consisted of topsoil stripping of a site in advance of proposed construction of a community sports pitch and facilities. The site was located adjacent to Ballinafad Castle [SL040-189] and the Red Earl’s Road [SL040-190]. Nothing of archaeological significance was found.
