Testing took place of a proposed primary school on a 5.9 acre green field site at Commons Road, Navan. The site is beyond the Zone of Archaeological Potential around medieval Navan. There are no recorded archaeological sites within 1km of the subject site. Eight trenches with a total length of 740m were excavated across the site. Subsoil consisted of a mid to light orange brown stiff clay. No archaeological features or artefacts were recorded.
