An evaluation of test trenches and monitoring of hedgerow removal associated with the culverting/bridging of a section of a small stream was conducted at a proposed development site at Bohermeen, Navan, County Meath. This proposed development concerned the construction of a parochial house and associated works.
The site is beside a 19th-century church and graveyard although a search of the SMR revealed that the closest recorded monument was located some 750m away.
Six test trenches were excavated across the proposed development. A number of field drains were uncovered however no deposits of archaeological potential were identified.
