Testing took place of the site of a proposed school on Ramparts Road, Dundalk. Five trenches totalling 675m were excavated across the site. All trenches were excavated to the upper level of subsoil (0.4–0.6m below surface). A gravel road/track and a linear ditch/drain were recorded in the course of trenching and are both likely to be early modern features. No features, structures or objects of archaeological significance were recorded.
