Testing took place of a proposed public house and restaurant at 82-83 West Street. Two trenches totalling 45m were excavated within the site. All excavated material consisted of made ground, comprising layers of clay mixed with rubble, red brick, mortar and disused pipes. No archaeological features or artefacts were recorded at the site.
