Testing took place of a proposed HSE Psychiatric Facility on a 2.2ha green-field site at Bog Lane, Drogheda, Co. Louth A geophysical survey (13R61) was undertaken at the site and identified 2 isolated anomalies of archaeological potential. Six trenches with a total length of 605m were excavated across the site. Subsoil consisted of a mid to light orange brown stiff clay. No archaeological features or artefacts were recorded at the site.
