Archaeological investigations took place at Morgan’s North townland, Co. Limerick as part of a Request for Further Information from Limerick County Council, for a proposed windfarm scheme. Intertidal survey and inspection of a bawn wall associated with Morgan's North House (LI010-119, 030) were also carried out.

Testing presented a comprehensive insight to the nature of the buried strata at five of the proposed turbine locations, and at two locations of the proposed access road. The test trench locations are distributed over a large land area that extends for more than 1.2km east-west by 1.8km. The consistency of observations in terms of the natural strata at the test locations suggests that this pattern can be anticipated more widely. The absence of significant archaeological observations in the test trench locations suggests that the proposed turbine locations have been selected carefully to have a minimum impact on cultural heritage.
