Pre-development testing was undertaken at Doocarrig More, Barraduff, Killarney following a request for further information with regard to a planning application by Kerry County Council. Seven 1m wide cuttings were opened across site, and had an overall linear extent of 348m.

Part of the proposed development is situated within the zone of significance with regard to a crop mark enclosure site, KE068-031, identified by aerial photography and of which there is no above ground register.

No archaeological features or artefacts were recorded in the course of the test excavations.
