A single house development at Ardamore, Lispole required an archaeologist to address two issues: a buffer zone around monument KE054-007 and pre-development testing on the proposed development site. The proposed site boundary was partially composed of the arc of the bank of the ringfort. The site boundary was moved to create a 20m buffer zone between it and the bank of the ringfort. Following the change in the site boundary testing was undertaken across the proposed development site. Four long test trenches were excavated by mechanical excavator with a grading bucket. No potential archaeological features or artefacts were recorded.
