Monitoring was carried out on 9 May 2013 during preparatory groundworks for Show Gardens for Bord Bia’s Bloom in the Park 2013 event. This was the seventh year of the event. The show gardens were located immediately west of the walled gardens at Ashtown Castle. Nothing of archaeological interest was found during the course of these groundworks.
