Monitoring was carried out of the mechanical excavation of seven engineering trial holes during preparatory ground works for trunk watermain project along the back of Dublin Airport adjacent to the St Margaret’s Road commencing at The Naul Road Roundabout (townland of Forrest Great) and extending a distance of approximately 1800m and finishing at the entrance of Keeling’s fruit farm at the townland of Kingstown.  Nothing of archaeological interest was found during the course of these groundworks.
