An archaeological evaluation was carried out prior to the proposed construction of a residential development at 3-5 Ballydrain Road, Comber Co. Down. The proposed development is located within the area encompassed by the historic settlement of Comber, DOW 010:078, and to the immediate west of the scheduled monument and scheduled area, DOW 010:061.

A series of 11 test trenches were excavated across the proposed development site using a machine fitted with a toothless bucket.

No archaeological deposits/features were identified during the evaluation of the site.
