An archaeological evaluation was carried out prior to proposed redevelopment works at 79-81 Wellington Street, Ballymena.
A total of 4 test trenches were excavated across the site using a mechanical digger fitted with a toothless bucket. The poorly preserved remains of a wall foundation were uncovered in Test trench 4 before they were truncated by a concrete foundation to the south-east.
No further archaeological remains were uncovered during the evaluation.
