An assessment for Baltinglass was carried out on behalf of Wicklow County Council in advance of a series of watermain rehabilitation projects throughout County Wicklow.
All of the works take place within the archaeological constraint zone as defined in the RMP mapping for Baltinglass. This licence was for monitoring of the Site Investigation works which was carried out in December 2012. No finds or features of archaeological significance were exposed in any of the trenches excavated. The main rehabilitation works will be carried out later in 2013.
