The proposed site for a house was tested prior to development. The site was located in Kilcowan townland within the zone of constraint for a graveyard, WX046-042-04. No above ground archaeological features were visible. Five test trenches were opened in the footprint of the house foundations, entranceway and percolation area. Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered.
