A programme of archaeological testing was carried out in association with the re-development of the Community Hall in Moyne Village. The re-development involves the construction of an extension to the existing structure and an associated upgrade of the sewerage system. The site is adjacent to Moyne parish church (in ruins) and graveyard (TN036-028/028001). A total of three test trenches were excavated, one in the area of the proposed extension and two in the proposed percolation area. Following the excavation of the test trench in the proposed extension area, subsequent construction works associated with the new foundations were monitored. The work was carried out between July and October 2012, in response to planning conditions attached to the development. Construction of the new percolation area has not yet been started but all associated works will be monitored in due course. No features of archaeological significance were identified during the course of testing.
