Monitoring of ground investigation trenches was undertaken in advance of proposed watermain rehabilitation works at Strand Road, Duffsfarm, Termonfeckin, Co. Louth in November 2012. A 1.2m thick layer of brown silty clay of possible archaeological origin was noted in 2 slit trenches at the junction of Strand Road with Big Street. No other features of archaeological potential were noted.
