The excavation of trial pits for percolation purposes in the grounds of Kilmurry House, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny was supervised on 2/8/2012. Several sites are marked on the Sites and Monuments record. The mansion is listed on the RMP as KK028-028, an 18th-century house. This lies adjacent to an unclassified castle (KK028-028001) and a 17th-century house (KK028-028002). No finds or features of archaeological significance were uncovered in the trial pit area.
