Site 7-13 Rathduff Madden was discovered during monitoring of topsoil stripping for the Bord Gáis Networks Gas to Great Island scheme (Excavations 2012, No. 334, 12E0356). This site was located 19m south of the Kings River on low lying pasture land. Four shallow pits were uncovered and it is possible that the features were heavily truncated. The pits did not make any discernable pattern, and only one was of interest, with fragments of burnt bone recovered.
