An archaeological evaluation was undertaken at the site of a proposed housing development on 19 and 20 September 2012 as requested by NIEA: HMU. The site was located directly to the west of a rath [FER193-030]. A total of eighteen test trenches were excavated across the extent of the proposed development. The site was characterised by topsoil up to 0.8m overlying subsoil. Nothing of archaeological significance was found.
