An archaeological evaluation was undertaken on 6 June 2012 at the site of a proposed development. The evaluation was requested by NIEA: HMU due to the presence of a scheduled rath [FER211-009] 40m south-west of the site. A total of ten test trenches were excavated across the extent of the proposed development. The site was characterised by topsoil up to 0.6m overlying subsoil. Nothing of archaeological interest was found.
