Monitoring took 1.5 days to complete. The hand removal of a concrete slab revealed a small modern cobbled surface measuring 1.6m east-west x 0.9m, 1.1m north of the east-west boundary wall located at the southern end of the site. The cobbled surface was one course deep, was directly under the concrete slab and was set into a modern loose mid brown silty clay which was recorded across the remainder of the site. Excavation did not proceed beyond the level of the modern mid brown silty clay.
A foundation trench for a new wall was mechanically excavated to a depth of 1m x 0.85m wide and revealed a single modern made-ground layer. Red brick was recorded at the very base of the trench and was left in situ.
No archaeological features or artefacts were revealed as a result of monitoring.
