The proposed development involved the construction of a football pitch, clubhouse, roadway, car park, septic tank and percolation area within a land holding measuring 2.65ha at Drumineney, Raphoe.
Excavation of seven test trenches located throughout the development area failed to reveal either archaeological features or artefacts. On all occasions topsoil directly sealed geologically deposited strata.
No archaeological features or artefacts were revealed as a result of testing.
