An archaeological evaluation in the form of machine-cut test trenches was carried out at the site of a proposed single dwelling development at Loughan Road, Coleraine in response to a request for more information from NIEA: HMU. A series of 2m wide test trenches were excavated across the site at 8–10m intervals revealing the remains of two short enigmatic subsoil-cut ditches and a shallow linear gully feature with associated post-hole from which a sherds of potential Early Christian pottery were recovered.
