Monitoring of dredging works associated with Baltimore Fisheries pier extension and re-modelling was undertaken in Baltimore, Co. Cork. Concrete foundations for the new extension were constructed on the bedrock which necessitated the removal of the underwater sediment. This dredged sediment was reused in the construction of the new pier. Dredging works took place intermittently between December 2011 and February 2012. No archaeological features, stratigraphy or artefacts were recovered during monitoring.
