2012:083 - KILLIMER: Burrane Lower, Clare

Rubicon Heritage Services Ltd was contracted by Fr Michael Sheedy to undertake an archaeological assessment (including test trenching) in support of a planning application for a graveyard extension at Killimer Church, County Clare. The test trenching programme was carried out on 7 September 2012. Seven test trenches, totalling 182.5m were excavated within the footprint of the development. Archaeology was restricted to a modern pit and two modern ditches. No significant archaeological features or objects were found in any of the excavated test trenches.
