Test trenching in advance of an upgrade to the Clonroad More Waste Water Treatment Plant, Ennis, Co. Clare did not produce evidence of archaeological features or deposits. This site was the same as that examined in 1941 that found evidence of high status medieval activity, perhaps related to the O’Brien castle that stood nearby (Hunt 1946).
