Monitoring is being undertaken for the Arva to Shankill ESB line which will run for c. 24km through the townlands of Pottle, Carrickclevan, Drumrrade, Corduff, Garrymore, Urney, Aghaconny, Ardlougher, Acres, Glencorran, Corraweelis, Aghalackan, Gortnakillew, Lateever, Drumhillagh, Drumnanarragh and Shankill Upper, Co. Cavan.
Work commenced in August 2011 and was ongoing throughout 2012. Monitoring continues into 2013. To date nothing of archaeological significance has been identified. Should any features of archaeological significance be identified in 2013, then an updated summary will be issued.
