An archaeological evaluation was undertaken on 18 May 2012 at the site of a proposed farmyard development. The evaluation was requested by NIEA: HMU as the site was situated within the area of a destroyed enclosure likely to represent a rath (ANT026-014).
A total of ten test trenches were excavated across the extent of the proposed development. The site was characterised by topsoil up to 0.6m overlying subsoil. Nothing of archaeological interest was found.
