An archaeological evaluation in the form of machine-cut test trenching was carried out at the site of a proposed housing development at No. 8 Nutts Corner Road, Crumlin in response to planning conditions imposed upon the development by NIEA HMU. Test trenching was carried out within the footprint of the proposed development with a total of c. 200m of linear trenching. Trenching revealed topsoil to directly overlie subsoil to a depth of 0.25–0.35m across the entire site. No archaeological deposits or features were identified during the course of testing works
