An assessment, which included monitoring, was carried out at a site in Tomnafunshoge, Enniscorthy. The development involved the erection of two agricultural sheds: a wet grain storage shed and an isolation shed for cows, together with all ancillary site works.
The site is within the constraint area for an earthwork site, WX020-034. This site is no longer visible today, but it is clearly visible on the Cambridge Collections Aerial Photographs taken from 1963 to 1973. It would appear from the aerial photos that modern farm buildings may partially occupy the site of the earthwork.
No finds or features of archaeological significance were exposed during the course of monitoring. If archaeological features were ever present, they may have been removed by modern agricultural practices.
