The discovery of an Early Bronze Age cist grave at Corr was reported to the National Museum. The grave was discovered during ploughing. The plough had hit the capstone and cracked it, and some ploughsoil had fallen into the cist chamber through the open end. The capstone was very large and when complete would have measured in excess of 1m x 1m and approximately 0.2m thick. The cist was rectangular in plan, measuring approximately 0.96m long x 0.55m wide x 0.72m high, and was aligned east-north-east/west-south-west. It contained a crouched inhumation of an adult male, placed with the head at the eastern end and the legs tightly flexed. A ribbed bowl had been placed in the north-eastern corner of the cist, close to the head. There had been some rodent disturbance of the cist but the burial was largely intact and in good condition.
