Three test trenches were opened on the site of an extension to a dwelling house at Lisnarawer, Belltra, as part of granted planning permission. The house and garden are within the constraint area for a ringfort.
Testing revealed that the area had been highly disturbed at the time of the building of the house in 1992. No archaeological features or remains were revealed in any of the trenches.
