Test excavations were carried out on the footprint of a proposed dwelling, garage and driveway on 21 April 2011. The development site lies within the area of archaeological constraint for OF025-017, an important ecclesiastical complex in the village of Killeigh. Four test trenches were opened and a number of linear features and pits were uncovered. A substantial linear cut present in two of the trenches was interpreted as a possible post-medieval boundary but most of the features were clearly modern.
