Sites 1 to 5 were previously stripped of their overburden and mainly excavated in 2003 by Kieran Campbell (Excavations 2003, no. 1448, 03E0666) and in 2004 by Cara Murray (IAWU for CRDS Ltd) (Excavations 2004, no. 1318, 04E1351). Some small archaeological features consisting of shallow areas of charcoal staining and small flecks of charcoal were found on the above sites but there were no finds or noteworthy features.
