Monitoring took place of groundworks associated with a proposed forest road at Patrickstown, Oldcastle. The groundworks took place on 29–30 August 2011, and involved the widening and deepening of a trackway which ran east–west around Patrickstown Hill. No archaeology was identified during the groundworks. All disturbed soil was metal-detected for finds retrieval but no artefacts were recovered.
