The development involved the construction of a thirteen-turbine wind farm. Approximately 2.2km of new access roads were constructed, in addition to the upgrading of approximately 2.5km of existing roads. All roads were approximately 4.5m wide. A level hard-standing area with minimum dimensions of 35m x 22m was created adjacent to each turbine. The turbine foundations were excavated to a depth of approximately 2m. In addition, a substation and a temporary contractor’s compound were constructed. Excavation began in April 2009 and continued on an intermittent basis to October 2011. No archaeological features or artefacts were revealed as a result of monitoring.
