Three discrete sections of town wall along the west wall were cleaned and consolidated in 2011. This work was grant-aided by the Irish Walled Towns Network, under the auspices of the Heritage Council. No subsurface archaeological material was recorded, as there was no ground disturbance associated with the works. Works to the wall were recorded and will form part of the public archive.
