Testing was undertaken for the proposed N4 Carrick to Dromod Road Scheme in the townland of Cloonmaan. The testing area was adjacent to ringfort RO011-019. The works were undertaken on behalf of Leitrim County Council as part of the Environmental Impact Assessment for the scheme.
Test-trenching commenced on 14 March 2011 and lasted for two days. A total of 144 linear metres of trenches were excavated across the area. No archaeological sites were discovered during the course of the works.
