Testing was carried out at the site of a proposed school campus extension at Tomard, Athy. The works were undertaken on behalf of Western Building Systems in response to planning conditions attached to the proposed development. Geophysical survey (11R0028) carried out by Joanna Leigh in February 2011 identified two linear ditch features, which represented former field divisions.
Eight trenches were mechanically investigated across two test areas on 28 February. No archaeological sites were discovered during the course of the works.
