Stage (i) Test Excavation Services were undertaken as part of the Archaeological Services Contract (2011) before the commencement of construction of the current section (700m) of the N67 Ballinderreen–Kinvarra Road Realignment Scheme, Co. Galway. The work was carried out on behalf of Galway County Council on 25 and 26 November 2011. A total of seven test trenches were excavated across seven fields within the townland of Pollagh. No sites, deposits or features of archaeological significance were identified.
