Trial trenching was carried out at the site of a proposed graveyard extension in Moyrus, Co. Galway, on 15 June 2011. The medieval parish church of Moyrus is located to the north-east of the proposed extension. Five trial trenches were excavated at the site and nothing of archaeological significance was recovered. The site was seen to be composed entirely of sand.
